Welcome to our practice!

Any general dentist can call himself a cosmetic dentist since the American Dental Association (ADA) does not recognize cosmetic dentistry as a specialty. There is no additional training needed for cosmetic dentistry upon completion of dental school.

However, prosthodontics is an ADA-recognized specialty that requires additional training related to oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patients. Prosthodontists receive an extra 3 years of specialized training after dental school. Board Certified Prosthodontists are prosthodontists that have gone on to pass extensive examinations by the American Board of Prosthodontics. This examination process involves several examinations over a period of years. Less than half of 1% of dentists in the U.S. are Board Certified Prosthodontists. ABP Diplomates are the top in their field, teaching other prosthodontists by presenting scientific lectures and publishing articles. Only Board Certified Prosthodontists can use the title “Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics,” and “Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists.” About 20% of practicing prosthodontists are Board Certified.
